Photography Equipment and Accessory Reviews

This page used to just be for camera reviews until I decided to consolidate all of my various review pages into one to condense my website menu. Now my Camera, Lens, Gear, and Film Review main pages are all here. Links to any reviews will go to a separate page for that information. (page modified 22Sept2021)

Camera Reviews

In this section I will post my reviews of not just specific camera models, but perhaps also brand camera systems that I feel have certain characteristics that make them stand out. The models listed include the year in which production started, and are listed chronologically by brand. Click on the camera model to go to the review page which opens in a new tab. I will try my best to review these models: if you have any model-specific questions, please comment on the relevant page once the review is posted.

Additional Film Formats

The following are additional film formats that I assumed obsolete but are actually either still currently manufactured or are cut down from larger stock. I do not currently have any cameras capable of using these formats nor any current interest in using these formats, but that could change. This information is current as of 22Sept2021.

110 film is currently made by Lomography. They offer Lomochrome Purple XR ISO 100-400 | Lomochrome Metropolis XR ISO 100-400 | Color Tiger ISO 200 | Lobster Redscale ISO 200 | Peacock X-Pro Slide ISO 200 | Orca B&W ISO 100

127 film is made by two companies: Rera Pan in Japan and Bluefire Murano in Canada. Bluefire has ISO 160 and ISO 400 color negative film. ReraPan makes ReraChrome color reversal ISO 100, B&W ISO 100 and ISO 400 films. Kodak, Ilford, and Arista varieties are available on BHPhotoVideo, but are pricier.

620 film is similar to 120 but on smaller spools. Film Photography Project has B&W ISO 100, Arista has B&W ISO 100 and 400 films. There are Kodak, Ilford, and Fujifilm options at BHPhotoVideo, but they are more expensive.

828 film is simply 135 film with the perforations removed. Kodak and Fujifilm versions are sold on BHPhotoVideo but are relatively pricey compared to their 135 counterparts.
