My intention for this website is for it to help inspire people to see the local beauty all around them, in their neighborhoods, their community, downtown, in gardens, the sky, down alleys, down the street, in your front yard, in your back yard, in the park, in puddles, creeks, in an abandoned lot, and anywhere else that you can find it. I will share photographs that I have made, as well as advice, perspectives, suggestions, technical advice, gear reviews, and more relating to photography. The photographs will concentrate on Kansas primarily, but not at all exclusively. My goal, my aim, is to help people to find beauty in unexpected places. We all think to travel to Hawaii, to the Bahamas, to Bora Bora, France, or Italy, but don’t overlook the beauty right in front of you. It can help to make your community a better place to live. As Qui-Gon Jinn, Master Jedi in the Star Wars universe once said: “Your focus determines your reality.” Seeing more beauty in your surroundings will help you to appreciate your home even more.
